A quick Affiliate Marketing Tier Two recap:
With standard, one-tier affiliate programs, you will earn money only when you sell a product via your affiliate link. You will only be paid a second time if you sell a 2nd product via your affiliate link.
Two tier affiliate marketing is a bit different. You see, two tier affiliate programs enable you to earn money when other affiliates make sales.
Your affiliate program provides you with a link to recruit other affiliate marketers. The affiliate marketing professionals you recruit, will be placed beneath you in the 2nd tier, or tier-two.
You'll earn a partial commission from each sale made by the affiliate marketers you referred to the program.
My feeling is that the best two tier affiliate programs are for products that other affiliate marketers would use. If you’re able to promote the products to savvy affiliate marketers, they may buy the software, ebook or service, and if they love it, maybe they'll decide to join the program too.
It's true that your affiliates in tier-two can provide easy commission bonuses, but you should stay focused on creating affiliate sales and commissions yourself.
Why should you worry about your affiliate marketing tier-two recruits?
In fact, many of the affiliates who join your tier-two may not generate ANY sales at all. None. Zero. Zip. Obviously, when the affiliates in tier two don't make sales, you won't get your bonus.
Granted, the affiliate marketing tier-two isn't all bad and you can even help your teammates get rolling...
You'll even hear that some experienced affiliates recommend creating links, images and other materials to help the affiliate marketers underneath you in the two-tier program.
If you're not careful, you'll spend too much of your valuable time recruiting and NOT creating your own sales and commissions.
It's true, I love every affiliate marketing program with a two-tier structure. And "yes," the two-tier affiliate programs are a very profitable way to earn more money each month.
However, it's more profitable to stay focused on making sales yourself.
Let's not forget that you joined the affiliate marketing tier-two program to make your own sales and commissions, not recruit other affiliates.
When you do decide to join a two-tier affiliate program, just make it your #1 priority to earn commissions yourself and only recruit others if you've got the time.
